Carp-Tart wanted the ultimate, one size fits all finger stall. The wrist strap and angle ensures a snug fit from hobbits to giants.
Leather is the usual material for finger stalls, and it is great for protecting your casting finger - on a dry day.
But Leather is absorbent, so once wet and soaked in bait juice it becomes slippery, soggy and smells far from pleasant!!
Leather also reacts badly from repeated soaking / drying out and becomes weak and brittle with use.
I'm sure you know how dry and crispy they are when you arrive at your next session!
Fed up with all this and tired of leather finger stalls lasting only a few months (had one last me 4 hours before holes appeared), I set about finding a material that was non-absorbent, hard wearing and still gave excellent feel for line release.
I found all the qualities I needed in waterproof 'Cordura' material and set about making a prototype for field testing.
After a solid year of weekly match fishing and hours of summertime Mackerel Feathering, I can honestly say that it is as good as the day it was made with no signs of abrasion, - and I am still using it !!
Made specifically for Anglers and features a wide 25mm elasticated comfort wrist band.
